Esmeralda Fuentes

Hello! This will be my first year at Penhold Crossing. I am new to the teaching profession, having previously worked as a substitute teacher for Chinook's Edge. I received my Bachelor of Education from the U of A/RDP Middle Years Collaborative Program. This school year I will be teaching CALM, English 10 and Social Studies 7, 8, and 10. Outside of teaching, some of my passions include musical theatre, drama, running, movies, trying new foods, and travel. 

As a teacher, my goal is to create a classroom where students feel heard, safe, respected, and successful. I work to create meaningful relationships with students so that I may better serve their needs and develop their "thirst for knowledge." My goal is to make a difference, create an impact, and inspire students to become lifelong learners.
