Ted Hutchings

I am thrilled to be part of the Penhold Crossing Team.

Over the course of my career, I have been a substitute teacher, teacher, team leader, department head, vice principal, and principal. I have worked for Elk Island Public Schools, Red Deer Public Schools, and Chinook's Edge. From 2013-2024, I was Principal of Delburne School and Innisfail Middle School. I am excited about entering the final phase of my career as a classroom teacher and academic/career counsellor. 

My wife, Lori, is a registered nurse. We have two sons. Connor is 25 and Jeff is 23. Connor is a paramedic and Jeff is completing his final semester of Education at the University of Alberta. We have two dogs, a Labradoodle cross named Downie and a Whoodle named Finnegan. When I am not at the school, you will probably find me at a sporting events or in the great outdoors. We love camping, fishing, hiking, skiing and mountain biking.
